I'm looking for a small compass - small enough to carry in my pocket and/or in a pocket kit. Wristwatch size would be about right. So far the only ones I've found are very poor quality, really toy - not worth the weight. Any suggestions most appreciated. Thanks.

I have pocket compasses by Silva, Brunton, Marble's, and Tru-Nord. While the Marble's is the nicest looking of the bunch, it takes forever for the needle to settle down. The others work well.

I recommend Suunto compasses always! They have numrouds models, just start here, and browse the pages. Suunto compasses are very accurate and high quality, but they also have a bit cheaper models (which I think are still of very high quality).

Hugo.
