Looks like a very useful PSK or small knife.
You planning others with different scale materials?

The horse stall mat rubber handles might not be the prettiest, but they are very functional... I have a larger Bikermike knife with the rubber handles and I love 'em!

Stay sharp,

I also have one of Mike's medium size kives with the stall mat handle I love it doesn't slip in my hand & I don't have to worry about dinging it up doing ranch work with it. I've had the pleasure of talking with Mike several times in person & seeing quite a few example of his work & works in progress. The only reason he didn't leave with a much lighter knife roll was my lack of funds or I might have added 10 or more to my collection :D

Great guy to work with I'll be buying from Mike again!

Mike-
I LOVE this knife...I like having a pocket carry knife to carry around the house while I am doing odd jobs and this thing looks perfect for that cause.

Do you have any additional pictures of the blade, blade angle, etc?
Also - tell me more about the horse mat handles. That's a new one for me. How hardy or they - I would suspect they will last a long time. I am sure they are comfortable, but what made you select that as your material?

One last thing (as I am no blade smith or metalurgist, tell me about the steel...rust resistant (as if I would allow it to get there any way) tarnish-ability, ease of sharpening and keeping it sharp? I am sure that all of those are answered within the type of metal you used, but I cannot keep all of them straight...your assistance is appreciated!

I would love to see a few and then I can make a decision whether to bite on it or not.

Thanks for the gorgeous knife...

Steel HR 1095
C=.90/1.04 Mn=.30/.50
a simple high carbon steel. It dos not have any alloys to help make it rust resistant. With use it develops a nice patina that helps keep the rust away. a drop of oil now and again gos a long way. I use 1095 because I get great results with it.

Stall-mat Is a high density rubber used in horse stalls, gym floors, and high traffic areas. A few custom knife makers started using it on there competition cutting knives. It has a secure grip, doesn't get slippery, and is a little shock absorbing. While the ascetics may leave some to be desired, it has a great feel to it.

I'll take it!

Let me know the best way to make payment and I will send it out ASAP.

Thanks for the extra info.

Biker, I love the fact that you're putting different handle scales on your knives. The horse stall mat stuff looks super-comfortable and practical for an EDC. Great job so far, keep it up!

I have the same model knife from Mike, except with walnut scales. It is very comfortable in the hand and cuts very well.

Well done Mike.

OK folks...let me tell you about this knife. This will NOT win any beauty pagents (no offense Mike :-) ) but boy is this thing built to work. I absolutely LOVE the handles and the size is perfect for carrying around the yard doing the odd jobs, yard work, etc.

This is a new favorite of mine and am SO glad I bought it from Mike. Thanks Mike!
