Im looking for a small necker type knife that is designed for 2-3 finger grip with choil, has a finger ring at the end that can accommodate an adult male's middle finger, is capable of chopping veggies/herbs and hopefully has a bottle opener that can be used without drawing the knife. :o

steel choice is negotiable as long as it doesnt take too much care and holds a sharp edge.

ive been drawing designs all night with the aid of insomnia  based off of these 2 designs i really like and might try to have this made if a similar knife/kiriashi does not exist:

a karamklaw  http://www.ecosknives.com/zen/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=40&products_id=506

and this snody kiradasi

i mainly plan on carrying it in my pocket with a short lanyard attached to lengthen the grip. this knife has everything i could ask for in an edc blade.

also if anyone has any favorite custom makers that handle requests well (and maybe not afraid to add their own flair) at a reasonable price please chime in. :D

There's a CRKT version, as well as customs that Alan makes. Good luck finding one of the customs.

You should look into some of Peter Atwood's designs. Hard to find, expensive, but might be what your looking for

I like knives and bottle openers, that said, I thought they would go well together. In some cases they do, but pulling out a fixed blade to open your beer isn't always a good idea. Depends on where you are.
I prefer to keep a small lightweight titanium bottle opener on me. It's allows my fixed blade to be a fixed blade.

I like Bark River's small knives, check out the City Knife, Bumble Bee, IMP, PSK, and the micro-versions of some of their knives. I always carry my PSK, I have a pocket sheath and a belt sheath for it, and my bottle opener fits inside the pocket sheath.

yea bark river has some very nice blades. im gonna head over to the site now. was the pocket sheath stock from them?

crkt has pretty good finish on their knives especially for what they charge. wouldnt suck too bad if it was lost.

Give the Becker BK-11 a look. It has a bottle opener that can be used with out removing the sheath, and a blade length of around 3", holds a good edge and easy to sharpen.

CRKT, RSK MK5....rockwell at or near 55 makes it easy to sharpen, holds an edge like most victorinox knives, might not be the shape you want though

I have the PSK in 154cm, it's thicker and it came with the leather pocket sheath.

im really looking for something that has a finger loop if possible. kind of a karambit type handle but non hawk bill blade.
