pocket flashlight

They look great, don't they? I'm bothered that the clips won't reverse. If it won't go on a ball cap, the 1AAA doesn't work for me. So far, I haven't been able to scrounge up a clip that will fit .6" diameter.

They do look great:thumbup:. Hope you can find a reversible clip that'll fit, Scott.

The diameter of the Preon is .6 inches. So I went rummaging around the house and finally found something the same size--a chemical light stick. Then I took the clip off my Fenix AAA (.5" diameter) and jammed it on the light stick. It fit. It's really tight, but it fit. I sure would hate to scratch up such a beautiful finish with an ill fitting clip--but form follows function. :) I have time to keep looking for a slightly bigger clip.

I can't wait to see beam shots and hear some reviews.

Personally, I think one of the best "bang for your buck" EDC flashlight is the Maratec AAA flashlight from CountyComm.

It is comparable to the Fenix L0D in function, but a bit smaller and very affordable :)

$28
1.5 lumen > 18 lumen > 62 lumen (seems brighter).

I'd reccomend the Olight T10, over anything else. It amazes me every time I turn it on. By far my favorite light ever.

Get any mentioned in this thread and you'll not only be happy, but you'll probably get one of the other ones mentioned in this thread! Right now, I'm a Fenix guy L2D and P2D. One runs on rechargeable AA's and the other on not overly expensive CR123s. I like that CR123s have a long shelf life, so those are for the BOB.

Don't know what you consider too much for a light but surefire just released the new E2DL with 200 lumens.
