Pocket friendly traditionals

I love this little guy and carry it every day. Granted, It doesn't get hard use like my SAK Cadet or Pioneer because it has sentimental value. But I have to say the GEC # 22 is a lot of knife in a little package.

I would like to throw in another vote for the GEC 22. I have a gec 09 and a case butterbean also, and while they are nice knives the 22 seems to get the nod more often. In fact, I have one in my pocket right now:)

French Laguiole 9cm (handle lenght) knives are pocket friendly. You can sometimes find a 8 cm version. This one below is Laguiole 9 cm made by Chevalerias

I'm leaning towards the GEC 22. Best place to buy new if I can't find one on the exchange?

The Rough Rider Barlow might work for you, too. At the price for a Rough Rider, you can get three, maybe four different patterns and still be out less than a single GEC costs.

Are these both GEC?

Yes, both GEC,the top one is a Pemberton #6 and the other is a magnum #22 pattern. Both great tiny knives, even knife wary folks love them in the acrylics but they also come in many other handle materials.

Best regards

Robin

Have never seen one on the exchange. Go to GEC website and check the dealers list for a magnum. I think there are a few around. Not so much the pemberton, they are harder to find. The 22 is an amazing little work horse.

Good luck

best regards
