Pocket Kephart

I just got a pocket Kephart, I like it a lot, and the handle is stout but provides a good grip and I love the spear point shape of the blade. But with such a stout handle, does anyone feel the 2 1/2 inch blade is too short? Like for kitchen work? Would love to hear anyone else who has one and how they like it and use it. Pics are of course always welcome.
 
There is a picture of one in the thread My Personal Knives, is yours that size? I can't see it being used for kitchen use, too short and thick. Those were made more as a pocket fixed blade.
 
Thanks, mine is 1/8, more for utility I guess. Mine looks like yours in the personal knives.
