Hey fellow bushbums!

My original intent with this combo was to have them on a neck rig but that bigass firesteel is just too heavy. My second attempt felt good. This is the "Pocket Pair". The knife is O1 and the firesteel is 3/8" x 4".

KGD has handled my "pair" first hand and liked them, I belive.:p What do you guys think of this set. Is it practical to carry something like this in your pockets or should I have given it a beltloop, stuck with the neck rig, something else?????

Thanks for looking
Rick

Great work, it looks awsome  I think keeping it in the pocket would be fine, it looks like the prefect size for the little pocket in jeans.

This needed to be quoted before you sober up.:D
This set looks fantastic by the way.
Will it be too long for the watch pocket? I think so. If so I think I would go for the neck idea.
I always wear cargo pants or shorts and would love to have a setup that would fit snuggly in a cargo pocket.

That is awesome, Rick. I think it will do perfectly well for in the pocket carry

So, it's just a bit smaller than a dollar bill? That seems fine for pocket carry. The leather looks nice too, not to mention that neat little knife!

i've been carrying a similar set-up in my day-to-day. it was intended originally for neck carry, but it slowly graduated to constant pocket carry. i have found it more practical as a pocket carry setup. i have enough on my belt generally that less is more, i would vote to keep it as is, for pocket carry.
it's not the perfect traditional look you're so well known for here but it's basically the same. just a modern take by Bruce Culberson from BF also.

Its a handy little blade that can be gripped quite nicely with the little bit of jute wrapping. Most of my neck knives are predominately carred in my front pocket. Its only very occasionally that I actually wear them neck carry.

I love the shape of that blade. Its small, but all business!

That is cool! I like the sheath design as is...made for a pocket. Rick, Would these be available to order from you?

Handled your "pair"- wow, nice to see people comfortable enough to say it loud and proud like that! Power to ya guys!

I would still most likely carry the selection neck carry or baldric style vs pocket, as I like to be able to use my pockets when there is a knife in them, never cared for the fill a pocket sheaths.

The size of the pocket pair is comparable to my Fiddleback Bow Legged Joe, which I carry in my left front pants pocket on a daily basis. The actual knife is ~5 inches from the tip to the end of the handle. When inserted into the JRE neck sheath, it is ~6 inches overall. I think the slenderness of the overall setup will make it perfect for pocket carry. Honestly, I really like it. Great, just what I need. Another piece of awesome Wildertools kit calling me to part with my money:D

Man that's an awesome blade. How did you do the jute wrap to end part way down the handle? I was wanting to do something similar with my Gossman PSK but can't figure how to terminate the ends.

Looks great Rick, that knife ,although small ,still looks like you could get a decent grip on it !!!!!

They look great.

I can understand the two being a bit heavy for neck carry.

Personally, I could see that liitle blade being a perfect necker.

As far as Ken handling your “Pocket Pair”,

…I don’t want to know. :barf:
