jack--yellow rose jigged , moose in stag, & jack in rotten banana
these jacks are on the same frame as the serpertine mink & in the future i will call them serpentine jacks in my posts since that makes more sense to myself. the rotten banana is great for translucency which i desiginate as jelly bone. i know you guys may be offended with my liberty of adjectives, however it makes sense to me. all have french [long] nail nicks which i really like.moose is 4 & 1/8 in. jacks are 3.5 in.

Dennis, I know you were really looking forward to the rotten banana when you saw it first. Has it met, or exceeded your expectation?
I, too, like the translucency of the "jellies", especially when there are color variations within the bone.

nice dennis... i've never heard of 'jellybone'. i've been curious about the rotten banana every since it was released. if it's not too much trouble i would really like to see more pics.

mamba you can really see depth in the rot banana. i find the jigged yellow rose to be ho-hum but that's just my personal opinion.i prefer the 1st yellow rose bone. i would be tempted to try & get all issues in the rot ban.

Hi,

Very nice! I want one of those Rotten Banana Jacks myself. I'm generally not real big on yellow, but this one is very appealing to me. I like to hear that you see some depth in the bone and color.

I gotta say, those jacks are - without a doubt - worthy of being carried by my grandad (if he were still alive).

Quick question .... do the Tidioute serpentine jacks have long pulls or standard nail nicks as shown in this catalog picture? ...

I was wondering if maybe this was a prototype and they've since gone to just long pulls. (I hope not.)

The Rot Ban looks surprisingly appealing! I suspect it might age very well too, nice Longpull on it - a Northfield feature.

Dennis,
Thanks for sharing these photos. I really like that rotten banana jack. I bought one of the burnt stags, and now after seeing your pics, want a rotten banana. that sounds kinda funny out of context.

Just don't make Banana Bread! Back on topic, very nice knifes. Steven

fellows i'm a novice when it comes to the small details. ex. half stops, nail nicks, swedges, & stuff like red stag. i buy what appeals to me & let mamba, joe bob & willgoy define the details which i would'nt remember tomorrow .i try to get quality but technical details i do'nt pay attention to.
