Hi Guys.....

I'm looking for a leather, "inside the pocket" sheath ( with a clip) for my standard 110.

I've been searching the web, but come up empty handed. It could be constructed of another type material , but I'm not crazy about Kydex. Also I don't want to add a clip to my 110.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks

Joe

You must have been reading my mind. I was trying to think of how I could carry some of my 110s to work and an inside the pocket sheath, connected to the belt via clip or a long leather loop that simply allows the sheath to be hidden inside the pocket would be cool. I'm waiting to see the responses.

Have you tried Ron Ryder ????

Have you looked at back room leather? Their Buckaroo Pouch may just be what you are looking for. Website says that they have many traditional styled knives on hand so there is a good chance that he would be able to make one for a 110.

Last Saturday I was doing some yard work and wanted to carry my 110. I just didn't feel like using a belt sheath , so I dropped the old 110 in my pocket and quickly realized it wasn't going to work out. :)

I've seen the Buckaroo Pouch , it's the closest to what I'm looking for. But I'd really like to find an inside the pocket sheath with a pocket clip.

If I can't find or make something ,I'll try the Buckaroo, I've always liked that design too.

I was just on Ron's site.... I didn't realize he was the same person making the Buckaroo.

I'll email him and see if he can make a simple pouch with a clip for the 110. He does make one for a small fixed blade.

Thanks for all the help

Joe

I have had one of the vertical/horizontal cordura sheaths on my belt all week, in horizontal mode. Its like it is not there. I wear my shirts outside so it is hidden.

I am sure he will be more than happy to make a few modifications to cater for your needs.

While I am tempted to get that Buckaroo Pouch, I'd like a pocket sheath that keeps the closed 110 vertical in my pocket instead of floppin' around.
Something like the below would be too cool for school...

Looking at this latest picture, I have done some concealed carry holsters that have the hook side of Velcro attached and can be worn inside the trousers or in a pocket. Makes things accessable without the tell tale "pocket clip" showing. Let me give this over to my engineering department (don't get excited, that's still just me) and see what I can come up with. Hadn't thought about doing that with a knife sheath, but then, I can't come up with all the good ideas.

This sounds like a great idea! I have been trying to figure out a way as well! I do like to carry my 110's in the horizontal sheath the same as PR but some days I just dont want to wear the belt.

I hope this thread gets some good pics and ideas rolling!

Well I tryied the sheath that came in the wall mart tin with my 110.It was to narrow for my belt.Or I can get the belt throught it but then the knife would not go in.I tryied the 112 sheath from last Christmas and the same thing .Just how wide is the belt that you guys are using on the Buck horizontal carry? So i use the sheath that Jack built for all my 110's.

Hawk,,,today I am wearing an inch and a half wide belt and it works fine. This sheath is marked 426. I slide the knife in tip out and blade spine up. That way when I slip it out, it is positioned right for my one handed opening.

Thanks Larry, I dug out a belt that's 1 1/2" wide and the 112 christmass
tin knife works.:DThanks for the infro.

Well, I experimented with a pocket sheath today. Actually, I made two of them. The first one, consists of a flat piece of leather with a stand-up pouch on the outside edge and stitched across the bottom. When carried in my left hanky pocket, a tiny bit of the brass from my 110 FG shows at the top of my pocket. The way it is built, a feller could carry it in either back pocket and the little bit that shows, does make it easier to draw. Probably still less noticeable then a pocket clip and any kind of vest or jacket would hide it admirably.

I decided to try a second one without stitching it across the bottom, which does totally conceal the knife in my back pocket, but is a little more difficult to make accessable. I guess it depends on what a feller wants and expects. I have the first on in my pocket right now and we're headed out for the evening, so I'll see how it "sits". Just thought I'd let you all know. I am working on the problem, but the jury is still out.

In either model, the knife does stand up without getting lost and the image on the pocket looks more like wallet then a knife sheath.

Stay tuned........

One degree here this morning, chill factor of -8.

Thank you Jack...

I am VERY interested in a pocket pouch that keeps the knife vertical. Preferably, bolster hinge down so a OAB is right at the thumb when I pull it out.

Looking forward to your updates :)

Very interresting
I think I would prefer a clip with a small pouch over a large sheath that fills the pocket IMO
