Pocket torch for daily carry.

I tried carrying a small flashlight on my keys, then in the change pocket of my pants but I stopped because I never used it. I guess it's just not dark here in sunny Florida. My workspace has large windows so even with the lights off I can see even into the darkest corners. I still have two flashlights in my edc backpack but I use them maybe 5 times a year. I actually use flashlights more at home than anywhere else, so I don't need to carry them on my person.

I remember a time when older folks constantly asked me if I had enough light while I was working on their phone jacks on the baseboard. Never understood it back then as I could see clearly in low light. As I got closer to 40, I started carrying a small AA mag light in a holster on my tool belt Yet still no big deal. Alas I have passed 60 and it’s obvious that the older I get, the more light I need. Flashlights and headlamps are my friend. Lights have come a long way. May you live long and never need more light.

My current (and shortly ending) gig is my first real warehouse/ factory job, and so I've been surprised by how much light I actually use commonly. I used to carry a fenix e12 a lot but I now use a E30R, because I'm looking into shadows in a well-lit place, rather than darker corners of a dark room. I also have several E05 lights which are my normal keychain lights, just due to the logistics of having the right batteries. The newer USB lights are good though, if I was going to replace a pocket light, the E03R would be an option, as the E02R might be a better keychain light. I'm looking forward to better USB and mag-connector charged lights as they really do well for EDC, whereas multi-day lights are still best served by replaceable batteries, just to reduce conversion loss. That said, I'm sure that a well-designed remote battery pack headlamp is possible with an obscene runtime.

I always carry a SureFire Titan Plus; it's attached to a Leatherman Micra.

Also, depending on my pocket situation, I carry a Thrunite T1 or T2.

YLP Scorpion x8 and Manker ML-03 (Manker is tad too big for watch pocket

I think that Olight is the best bang for your buck….. I like to go as small as possible fir my edc light. So 99% of the time it’s one of these 2….
