Pocketable fixed blades

Hey guys, what fixed blades do you like that are pocketable? I think a OAL length of 6 inches or so is about the max for me to fit in my pocket. Also, I tend to be more interested in kydex type sheaths then leather. I've never tried a leather sheath in my pocket but I imagine it would be a bit thick and hot.

Oh, and no Izula recommendations please. :) I already have one of those. I'd rather something with a thinner blade. Other then that the Izula is great.

Boker Vox Rhino

Fits your requirements so far.

(not my photo, but I do own the knife)

Böker/Krein Pocket Bowie could be the answer: Type of PSK knife, kydex sheath, 2.5" blade approx, modern materials but looks timesless, inexpensive too.

Alan Davis makes some cool pocketable fixed blades, here's my 1095 trailing point with water buffalo scales.

Blind Horse makes four knives that you may be interested in. Two of the knives have blades that're thinner than the Izzy's (which has a 6/32" blade), and the other two didn't have blade thickness specs. Email them if you're curious, Blind Horse has great customer service; they'll respond quickly. I can't post any links because of forum rules, but you'll find their website easily with any search engine.

Frontier Trapper- 6" OAL, cutting edge 2 3/8, blade thickness 4/32"
Lil' MUK- 5 3/4" OAL, cutting edge 2 3/8", blade thickness 3/32"
Frontier First Patch Knife- 5 1/2" OAL, cutting edge 2 5/16", blade thickness not specified
Small Tiger Knapp- 5 3/4" OAL, cutting edge 2 1/2", blade thickness not specified

I just picked up the BHK frontier trapper last week, great lil knife. I will post up a comparison shot next to an Izula tomorrow afternoon. Does come with a leather pouch sheath though.

This Tommy Lee was designed from the git go to fit in a pocket.

I really like this Lovett take on Bob Loveless' Steif Horn:

And this Pat Sheehan is perfect for pocket carry, but not with the original sheath (shown); it needs a piece of leather that's a bit flatter (and it's on the list...):

I really like those. Blind Horse seems to have a lot of knives that would work well for me. In addition to the ones you mentioned I like the Maverick Colt and the Frontier Valley. Their prices seems really good as well. A good alternative to the Bark River Knives which look nice too but seem a bit overpriced.

I like a lot of knifes i'm seeing, especially the BRKT City knife, but...(there's always a but isn't there?) I am poor/ cheap so is there anything along the original thread for around 100 dollars?
Don't mean to steel the thread, just wondering

Like Groove said, Alan Davis does good work. He made me a 6 1/2" thin-bladed FB w/ sheath for about $90. Great knife. He does a good job on smaller FB. Look for ALAND in the FB F/S subforum.

Nobody has made the suggestion, but the Case desk knives would be fine pocketable fixed blades. This particular one was meant for an office setting; it says as much on the handle, but the size is nice. Here it is with my Case SBJ:

I have one of the Frontier Patch Knives, but mine was a special run in brazilian cherry. It's almost 1/4 inch thick (thinner now that I've thinned it out some). Great knife, and perfectly sized for the KSF pocket sheaths. Great choice!
