1) Brand New, Unused, Uncarried, Custom Handmade Japanese Skinner by Pohan Leu with 2 sheaths. Steel is A2 tool steel. Blade is 3 3/4" long, 1 1/2" wide and 1/8" thick. It is perfectly executed V ground to zero edge. This is absolutely razor sharp! It is a real flesh eater! The formation of the contour of the edge coupled with its amazing sharpness will make this blade bite very deep with minimum effort. The tip is very strong and equally sharp. It will penetrate even the toughest hide with ease. Overall length is 7 1/2"".
The handle is a Japanese cord wrap. It is made of yellow over black cord and it is sealed with West System Epoxy Resin. This is a two part marine grade epoxy that bonds and coats fiberglass, wood metal, fabrics an other composite materials to provide superior strength and moisture resistance. This stuff is top notch! The handle is 1 3/8" wide and offers exceptional purchase while it is also very comfortable to the user's hand.
This knife comes with two sheaths: one is suitable for belt / boot carry and the other is suitable for neck carry. I asked Pohan to make both of them as I wanted to have the options. Both hold the knife securely and are metal lined. These are as strong sheaths as you will ever get on any knife, period. The belt / boot carry sheath has a metal clip that will accommodate belts up to 2" wide. There are 5 metalic studs at the bottom at the lower part of this sheath making it literally bomb proof. The neck carry sheath has a black string which is tied inside the sheath. There are 6 metalic studs at the bottom at the lower part of this sheath making it literally bomb proof too. This sheath can use be used as a static cord sheath as well, like the ones first made famous by James Piorek (aka Bladerigger).

2) Brand New Custom Tactical Tanto Knife by B.K. Johnson. Steel is O-1 tool steel. The black blade is 9.25" long, 1.25" wide and 3/16" thick. It is coated in GUN KOTE brand epoxy finish and is completely corrosion resistant. It has been heat treated to 59-60 Rockwell C hardness it is truly razor sharp! The cutting edge is flat ground while the point is convex ground for durability. The 3.25" top edge is fully sharpened to increase penetration. The blade is serrated for 2.75" towards the handle. The serrations are ground on BOTH sides of the blade for aggressive cutting of rope, webbing or, flesh. This is a very rare serrations pattern which is also extremely easy to re-sharpen. Two quillons one at the spine and the other at the edge side of the blade adorn the knife and protect the user's hand from sliding forward onto the the sharp edge. The blade has been marquenched and double tempered to ensure maximum performance. After initial hardening and tempering the spine has been selectively drawn to a full spring temper. The overall length is 14.5".
The handle has been crafted from abrasive blasted Black Linnen Micarta with white liners. The scales are riveted to the tang with 1/4" brass tubing flared to 3/8" at the ends. this method of attachment uses no adhesives and makes the handle impervious to temperature or, physical shock. The full tang goes on for 7/16" past the handle scales and it forms a unique pounding surface. It is canted thus giving it the ability to be used either as a window breaker / skull crasher or, a tent peg pounding material.
The black sheath is crafted from 9 oz leather and it is extremely well made! Its total thickness is 5/8"! It has a welt which has been sewn into the seam to prevent the knife from cutting the stitching when it is drawn. It has a thick leather retention strap which a snap closure. The equally thick leather belt loop can easily accommodate belts up to 2" wide.
This is an extremely well made knife and it is very fast in the hand. Everything on it screams quality! It is suitable for a wide application of duties. It can be used as a fighting knife, a camp knife, a pig sticker, to build a lean-to, to prepare kindling for that bone fire, to butcher game, the list can go and on.
