So I'll start by saying I'm not looking to rain on a recent thread that was started regarding Pohan Leu. However, I've dealt with Po for over a year....and I've owned five of his knives so far......I've not found a better, more responsive maker anywhere!! Po is one of the nicest, most personable craftsman I've ever met......I say deal with him with confidence. I'm putting my money where my mouth is as I've got a custom coming and he's mod'ing another Bluephin I own.....'nough said!!

I thought about starting a thread too knowing the timing wouldn't be lost on anyone, but decided not to.
That whole situation just seemed weird. Even the reason it was closed. So what if he's not a paid member. What does that have to do with anything?
Anyway, Po is a great guy and I will continue dealing with him until he proves otherwise.

I can definitely reciprocate the caliber of Po's character. I have a Bluephin from him that I have sent him a few emails about with questions that he has always responded to almost immediately. I also ordered a Hamachi from and he has kept me updated with how everything is going. He is a knifemaker that I wouldn't hesitate to spend money with.

Mistakes, mis-comunications and misunderstandings can happen with anyone.
Pohan Leu is somone I never would have to worry about fixing whatever the problem is. He is a stand up guy and has a great reputation for a reason.

My interpretation of why it was closed; this forum does not want to become the 'host' for every knife related issue that happens on the million and one others sites on the internet. I think the Mods are in full support of working out sales issues that occur on BF, and not so cool with people dragging issues from deals they made elsewhere to be worked out here.....
On topic. Pohan is a great guy.
We are lucky to have him not only because he makes some wonderful knives, but because he is second to none in terms of his integrity and character.
