I have looked around on the net and found very few detailed articles or plans for that matter. I have been sending my blades out for heat treating which has limited the steels I am able to use.
I also don't have the luxury of having a huge wad of cash to buy a commercial
heat treating oven.
If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

there is a good tutorial that keeps getting crossposted from british blades. I would look for that, but use a PID controller and solid state relay from auberins.com

That info looks great. Seems like I can also get Kantal wire here in Spain (will just need to turn it into a loooooong coil). I like these furnaces better than propane ones. Seems like I get on well better with amps and circuits than I do with gasses and regulators.
