Yes Jill, she sure does, makes me wish I would have trained her to hunt birds. I'm an archery hunter & squirrels mostly, not much of a wing shot I'm, afraid. She was pointing out grasshoppers & butterflies when we brought her home at 8 weeks old. My friend is a taxidermist who owns an English Setter and hunt him all the time. He worked with Sable just for fun and he said she is a natural, takes to the point and holds real steady for you. My male Cooper is a natural at laying under shade trees.....only points at his sister when he wants her to rough house with him.
