Poison Mushroom Soup Kills 2

This might sound like I'm throwing the baby out with the bath water, but the taste of a mushroom isn't so irresistible that I'm going to risk my life to eat one in the wild. I'll stick to eating them in restaurants ;)

You are correct. If your level of knowledge is such that you cannot identify safe wild foods, you are better off eating the processed foods you bring with you, regardless of taste.
 
so far ,I have ate three.BEEN eating morels and oysters for years. Recently had Shaggy manes.I Have not had the sulfer shelfs or hen of the woods but next time i find some, they will be harvested. MUshrooms are good.
 
I went to searching for mushrooms as long as I can remember. My grandma and my dad took me there and they´ve learned from their ancestors which mushrooms are good to eat, which are spoiling a meal and which are even poisonous.
I search for mushrooms myself - but just those I can definitelly identify without help from another person. The risk is too hig

These are three that are easily to identify and which I take home whenever I find them. For sure, these are mushrooms in Europe/Germany.

But dead people by eating poison mushrooms is sad. My thoughts to the families :(
