The term "Pokara" was originally given to a tool having a backward curved handle, which was used by lumbermen for picking up timbers. It is a scandinavian design that is sweet to look at and use.
The blade profile on this one was forged and the bevels were ground. Blade on this one is slightly over 1/8 thick.
Here are the specs:
Steel- 52100 X approximately .135
AOL- 8 5/8 inches
Grind- Flat
HT- Double quenched and triple tempered in house
Finish- Hand sanded to 1000 grit then back sanded at 600 grit for a satin finish
Blade- 4 1/8 inches
Handle- 4 1/2 inches
Wood- Stabilized Flamed Red Maple Burl
Hardware- Brass Guard and pommel with black G10 spacers.
Sheath- RH pouch style hand sewn and tooled.

Joe, you've been busy with terrific results!! This hunter is exceptional...really fine materials, fit 'n finishl!!

Thanks guys I do appreciate it. This feels soooooooooooooosweet in the hand. Like it grew there but I have way to many knives now so it needs a new hand to attach to. It's looking like it may go into the oops I forgot to buy so-and-so a Christmas present box.
