I am new to the forum and just completed this GIB grinder build, 2hp 3ph motor running on a VFD, I built it as a stand alone machine on a custom fabricated pedestal stand. Hope you like it>>>>>>>>JK

Holy Carp! That's a beauty! Super freaking nice! You must have access to a fab shop and welder? Powder coat finish?

Love it! I ordered one last week and am waiting for the brown van (probably next week with cross border shipping.)

Fabricated it myself in the back yard shop, believe it or not the finish is Rustolum hammered spray paint in Verde green. That paint is the greatest, super nice results.

Yeah, I don't know... It all looks really cheap and crappy to me. I kinda think...
Yeah, how about if I just come over and take it off your hands for you?

:-)

It looks OK, but you should have welded the base instead of using Super Glue :)

Seriously, that is one of the finest grinder builds I have seen. The catch trap is ingenious.

I have used that same paint on mountain bike forks and frames. It is quite durable for rattlecan paint. I use the etching primer underneath and it sticks very well.

Please feel free to steal the spark catcher, That is a $27 (with a 25% off coupon) harborfreight air tank with some wheels welded on and a rectangular hole cut in the top, just add water :) works great!
