Looks a lot better than it did when you had your paws on it. :p

Only problem I see is that second blade is going to cut the hell out of your pants when you wave draw the knife. I wouldn't have taken the second blade that far back.

But hey, that thing looks meaner than hell.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was going for. Something with little to no utilty value. Pure nasty, like the Civvy. When it gets here I might dull down a bit of the edge near the hook.

yeah, I was playing with my Delica wave just now, and when it draws out it slides the last 1/3 of the blade across the seam of the pants.

I can guarantee that things is going to slice up your pocket.

That's, hmm, unusual.

Looks a bit like the first and only folding, waved, double edged filleting knife in the world. :D

I've named this knife "somethin nasty" :D

The top edge is a zero bevel grind. Scary sharp.

I'm gonna be honest and say that poor spyderco police, that never did anything to anybody, was wrongfully punished by being turned into a piece of wannabe spyderco metal. Sorry

I agree. It looks sort of...anorexic.

But I mean, he made it more useful according to his eyes. It serves a purpose. What I'm saying is the old adage: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." While I personally do not like it, it's not ugly. I'd say it's functional.

I don't really care for the style of the modifications, BUT I am also of the firm opinion that I would not want to run up against the fella totin it in a dark alley!

I would immagine that a fella who was practiced, could have that booger deployed and lodged in your pancreas faster than you could could think "What the hell did he do to that spydie police?"

It's neat.

Exactly

C-M, what it the edge angle like on the "upper," or previously unsharpened side? Is it obtuse or acute? In researching double-edged blades, I've learned that a narrow blade that has both edges sharpened often has an edge that may cut, but not slice very well. See the Fairbairn-Sykes "Commando" knife. This knife has a fairly narrow blade, so the geometry, that is the distance between the blade's center to the edge, demands a fairly obtuse edge. Does your new edge cut paper well? Or is its main function to provide just a little sharpness so you can switch-hit?

I just cut up the cover of a Bud K catalogue. It cuts with ease on both sides :D

Have you thought of any other way to achieve the "wave" you have been putting on all of your "tools"? I mean there has to be a better way to do this other than butchering the knife until it has no other purpose other than stabbing things. I mean, drilling a 1/16th inch hole at the top of the knife blade and press fit a rod in the hole like the pikal sounds more Ideal to me. You would get your little wave feature and keep the knife's overall usefulness.....maybe worth looking into....

In this case, I think turning the Police model into a Thug model was entirely the point. It is intended to be a single purpose knife.
