Police DCR

My Dremel is the only tool I have for knife mods. I don't even have proper work bench. I would do the rod thing if I could.

My favorite modifier, STR, who has his own forum here, declines doing the P'Kal type wave due to the challenging machine work. He will do a fine wave job approximating that found on Spyderco's waved Endura and Delica. And he does it with Mr. Emerson's approval.

My Police 3 may be headed his way very soon.

Ditto on the proper usage of the Bud K catalog. I had the same thoughts initially, but I feared offending Charlie Mike. One gander at his avatar and I'm having trouble sleeping.

Do I have something in my teeth? :p

Hah, one cannot beat Glockman99. I heard a rumor that he cleanly shaves everyday, following up with a wax and electrolosis. The burly mop you see on his upper lip is his 5'oclock shadow. ;)

Maybe theres someone else who has access to a mill? I don't know, I'd just assume that there was a "better" way. Tools that are made for only stabbing things are kinda hard to explain to cops around here, and in one case you may need it as an actual knife.....Maybe look into just rounding off the whole blade and make it a shank? Just a nice pointy object. Take a titanium chop-stick and make it pointy, it would be just as useful.

This knife will not get much carry if any at all. I did this purely to have something different and very illegal looking in my collection.

Too cool.

I wouldn't carry it but I dig the design and craftsmanship.

C-M, what it the edge angle like on the "upper," or previously unsharpened side? Is it obtuse or acute? In researching double-edged blades, I've learned that a narrow blade that has both edges sharpened often has an edge that may cut, but not slice very well. See the Fairbairn-Sykes "Commando" knife. This knife has a fairly narrow blade, so the geometry, that is the distance between the blade's center to the edge, demands a fairly obtuse edge. Does your new edge cut paper well? Or is its main function to provide just a little sharpness so you can switch-hit?

IIRC, it was a zero grind. It's been long since sold so I wouldn't be able to tell you the angle. When the new Szabo folder comes out, I'll be doing something similar.
