after a neighbor called them to find out what all the commotion was about. getting bored as i usually do on a fine sunday afternoon i grabbed my howling rat and headed to the garage. you should have heard the ol rat howl when i took my blaster to him!
he howled louder than a yankee soldier buried in a confederate cemetery!
after a good silica bath i hit him again with some 60 grit glass.
you be the judge, i kind of like him better naked with all his nasty black fur gone.

Sweet!!! :D

Fantastic job. How did you protect the handles, or did you?

BTW, your sig had me rolling :D :D :D

i didn't protect the handle, i figured it would be a good test of the restroompierian or whatever the the rubber is called. besides, i get to write my own warranty right? oh, i forgot, i called a late night worker at the factory and asked him if it would hurt them. he just chuckled and i heard a beer can crush as he hung up the phone laughing:D

That looks very cool! How will the SR-101 steel hold up to naked use?

i blasted it extra long with 60-120 beads. jerry said it should seal up the pores and be ok.

remember the warranty:D

you see... i was just walking along when this freak big sand storm hit. i... i... yeh i grabbed my howling rat and built a quick shelter and a bunch of weird jungle trip traps! after the storm passed i noticed the cheesy paint job was gone:D

oh and by the way, please don't let gundy see this. the new finish along with my carbon copy tan with white stitching gundy style leather will really make him jealous:p

Where did you get the blaster. I'll order one tomorrow.... comon skunkboy spill the beans:eek:

raden, i thought you were into that stealth black stuff?
remember a shiny blade and tan leather sheath will make you look like a real outdoor geek.;)

i'm warning you! once you go natural you will never go back:cool:

I need to order some finer grit....:D

...you see, I have a beadblaster too....

MWAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHHAHAHHHAHAHHAH !

Nice job skunk, and hey fellas, the boys of old never worried about the carbon goin a bit 'speccly'....it adds character, and with the brown and white, you got yerself the best of all worlds!

YEHAAAAA !

AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!

not YOU again! i thought i had the only blaster on this continent?

whoops... you're not on this continent are you?

my new leather is in the mail Mawahahahahahahahahh!!!

..and you know how to use a digi camera, so I expect some mighty fine pics of those new rat houses with that gnarly guard cat of yours brother Skunk...

if i can get the sand out of my eyes i might do my tramp tomorrow. even wearing safety goggles i shot my eye out.

for sale: two slighly used rat houses, for you today almost free!

I like the natural look also.... I really like aged black leather it's got ton's of character. Brown just looks like somthing grandpa might have and I do like to be different.

I can't wait till some of my customs are done just to show you how different;)

can't wait to see them!
i have some more coming from rowe.
most of my brown leather is damned near black by now.
i guess i just get tired of everything being in black.
except for my black lab, he's ok, but he will drink your
beer if you turn your back for too long...

kinda like jerry i guess:D

could be true - I call my dog 'Jerry-atrick' ..... sometimes,

he is old though, so he has an excuse...:D ;)

Skunk,

That does look pretty nice. :D:D

I'd be interested in seeing it after you cut up some onions or apples. If you rub the onion juice on it I bet it'll look like you blued it.

After all if it doesn't look good just blast it again. ;)

good idea eric, i'll try that tonight. i think it would still look good as a few stains might look good. don't do yours till we see if mine holds up. i really can't imagine it would be any worse that any other 52100 knife i own and hunt with. fowler, marbles, old timer and the rest. off to the kitchen it goes!:D :D
