Police

One of each, of course. Then trade the two you like least for two more of the one you like best.

I prefer PE myself, but I gotta admit the SE SS Police is a good-looking beast.

i buy all my spydercos in SE when possible. more cutting power.

the SE ATR is awesome too, i like it more than the police as the cobra hood on the ATR gives the knife a better grip.

SE for me, always with Spydies. SE cuts everything more efficiently, stays sharp longer, and is very very easy to touch up and sharpen on the Sharpmaker. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!

Cheers,
Rob

Normally I prefer PE only; but the Police is "more Police" in fully SE = my recommendation

usually i prefer PE but the police just doesnt look right to me unless its SE.

Fully serrated, this is what comes in my mind when I think Spyderco Police. :)
Although the PE is looking damn sexy too...

Never had a CE Police. I have had PE and SE. I agree, the long blade seems to be a good candidate for CE.

As a rule, I think a CE knife needs at least 3.5" of blade to really make good use of the SE part and the PE part. Any shorter and you end up with a knife that is not good for either use. If the blade is long enough, it is good for both.

SE hands down- I prefer plain edge on all my knives except the Police.
SE makes the knife a all-purpose cutter.
Closed: the knife looks classy.
Open: the knife is all business.

I have the Police in all 3 configurations: SE, PE, and CE. My preference for this model is SE, though all three are good. IMO, the blade length gives a good amount of edge for CE, but I don't know why, this model feels slightly odd to me in CE, even though I also carry knives with blades shorter than this with CE.

The Police is one of the only knives I prefer in serrated to plain edge. I picked up a SS version with a VG10 blade a while ago. It is not an EDC but is definitly my choice for a concealable folder with a HUGE blade. It is also a lot thinner and more comfy than my Chinook3 although the Chinook3 has a much more useful blade. I love my Police but it is more because I always wanted that particular model when it came out. I would get a Endura 4 PE in VG10 if I wanted a practical EDC/SD though.

Most of my Spydies are plain edge, but Police must be serrated!

I just got the SE ATR... :D Wow, what a knife!

The Police is now also on my radar. I really like the custom scales on the one posted above.

though i have had several police's thru the yrs, and used to edc a SE one, i too very much prefer the ti ATR.

the Ti ATR is my fav spydie FWIW.

they are great knives, probably my fav production knife.

SS ATR aint bad either i have one of those too.
