What do you say about this Polish Army dagger? From the beginning of the 90ies, not used any longer.
Interesting blade locking mechanism on the sheath.

Its well balanced, throws well and has a hollow handle, just unscrew the steel cap.

Dull as hell though.

Cost around 30 German Marks, if memory serves back in the day...

This is a dagger wz. 98, it doesn't have hollow handle, the cap is screwed at the end of the tang (similar knife wz. 92 has hollow handle). It is a dagger - very dull but looks cool 😎

The cap should seal a little cavity, not as big as in those Ramo-esque knives, but still.

Please check?

These were promoted as Polish paratroop knives from the pre Soviet break up days. I don't know much about the Polish army in those days so can't speak to the accuracy of that. I have one, pretty decent combat type knife, better than the Glock in my opinion.

Most sources that I found say that it is made of 420/425m equivalent at 50 HRC. Glock is soft 1090/1095. So they are about the same on paper*. Btw, don't the number after the WZ mean the year? The SU were broken by then.

I think your right, a quick google search gives the date for introduction as 92.
