Polish-o-ray vs Satin Glo Greaseless Compounds

I've been applying the Satin Glo greaseless compound to my cork belts, and I find it can be a bit of a pain. Without variable speed, I'm left to toggle the motor on and off to get the compound on the belt, and I'm never really able to get an even application. The stuff tends to melts and dribble to the floor or gets stuck on the belt in uneven clumps.

Is Brownell's Polish-o-Ray significantly different from Satin Glo in how it sticks to the belt? How about the kind of finish it leaves?

I hate that stuff.

I use green compound on the cork belt for more satin finish I have cork belts in 220 and 400 that have no compound on them.
