I gave it a go for myself. Used green stropping compound on a felt polishing wheel, on the Dremel. Mounted it sideways to get a little buffing wheel setup. Worked really well, I stayed clear of the wood.
After the bolsters, I used a clean felt wheel for the wood. It's African Blackwood, and pretty hard. Higher speed gave a nice semi-gloss sheen, pretty close to what it looked like factory. I'll pop some lemon oil on there for good measure.
For about five total minutes, I'd say she looks half decent.
