Polished Blade Won't Cut Nylon Climbing Rope

I once polished a dull elmax blade. Make sure to spend the time at a lower grit and get it cutting well before polishing. Otherwise you will likely need to start over. In this case, given the amount of metal that may need to be removed, you might consider a professional or risk marring the blade during sharpening.
