Polished blade??

Thank you Josh K!

Now I know. That's too bad, for some reason I thing the whole blade being polished would look better, but I've never seem one....yet.

You might think that, but how would you finish the rest of the blade? This polish isn't a mirror finish, I think the stonewash adds a nice contrast. Plus it's probably easier to apply then polishing the entire blade. I would estimate that 85% of the blade is polished currently.

Only the hollow portion (blade grind) is polished. The rest is still stonewashed.

Totally agree.

I just think the line delimiting the polished portion and not polished portion detracts from the lines of the blade.

I would rather see the whole blade polished or not polished, preferrable polished.

The way it is polished now does make it unique.

It's my understanding that CRK won't change the default options for those models. You'll have to order a second blade.

I have a CGG Sebenza with polished blade and just sent it in to have it changed to stonewash finish. They will change a polished to stonewash, but will not change a stonewash to polish.

I have a polished blade on my large regular that has been my EDC for over 2 1/2 years. I wipe it with a cloth after moderate to heavy use. There are really no scratches on the blade. If there were, they would be character marks:D

Does that mean they are going to stonewash your polished blade, or replace your polished blade for that particular knife? If they are going to "stonewash" your already polished blade, do you mind telling me the cost? Tks.

This, from the CRK website:

Sebenza Recondition options:
Refurbish handles (sand blast or polish, depending on the model ) $27.50
Polish or retumble blade (depending on the model) and sharpen $27.50

Not a scratch after two years. I haven't abused it, but I haven't babied it either. I carry it at work frequently, and use it for whatever needs to be done. It's skinned deer, and done many chores around camp, and it's as good today as the day it was new. This was yesterday, after cutting air holes in that gas can, and cutting my orange...

I just ordered a 21 from CRK and asked to have the blade polished. Didn't seem to be a problem for them.

You should be able to get the blade polished no problem.
