It's been a long while since I've finished up a blade, it's been a tough last two years for many around the world, but hopefully as things return to normal I will be able to return to my passions as regularly as I would like to.
I have to offer today my most recently completed blade; a dedicated hunting knife forged from polished random pattern damascus with a Sambar stag handle. The blade is 5.6" long, 0.133" thick at the guard with a full distal taper, forged from 1080 and 15n20 pattern welded steel in a semi-random damascus pattern, and is lightly polished to help with corrosion resistance as well as give the blade a much more subtle appearance. The handle is made up of a nickel silver guard, ferrule, and pommel along with a absolutely stunning cut in Indian Sambar stag. The tang is threaded onto the pommel and peened over as well giving this blade an overall length of 10" total. This piece is a dedicated hunting knife, ground thin and razor sharp to excel at cutting hide and flesh over anything else. Also has a well made leather belt sheath to carry it too.
