I have seen some awesome polished clips on the forums here and I want to polish my Para's

Can someone explain in detail how to do this?

I searched but couldn't find any how to threads. I am assuming you use a high grit sand paper, but a step by step process would really help.

Thanks in advance:thumbup:

Use paint stripper to remove the black coating and buff with a cotton buffing wheel with some green compound, that about it.

I use dremel buffing wheels.
You can get packs of the med and fine at Wal Mart. They work great as sometimes the clips needs a light sanding to smooth it out.I then polish with a dremel white felt drum and green compound.

:thumbup:The dremel can't be beat for this task, those buffing wheels remove the paint from the clip in seconds. You are left with a beautiful satin finish, or you can choose to polish.

I used a razor blade to scrape off the paint. It worked VERY well. ...just keep it flat and even. Then I used a scocthbrite pad to get the excess off and give a nice polish... just keep the strokes linear to the clip, so any light scratching is uniform. I did this on my Native, which is obviously painted. The finish on my Military is more like a TiNi... I imagine the razor would not be very effective.
