Polishing on Belt Grinder Grit Question

To what grit do you guys polish your knives to? I ordered a 1x30 and was getting belts ordered but didn't know how high to go. Could you post some picks of knives sharpened to maybe 800, 1200, 1500? I just want to know how many grits to order. Thanks.

I never polish my knives but just sharpen the edges on my 1x30. 1200 is more than enough to get a very polished edge. Just use some green rouge on a leather strop and it will be very polished. I get all my belts from USA Knifemaker Supply.
