polishing superglue over wood?

I use CA on most of my wooden handles that are to be presentation level and have had great results. I have two that are my personal EDC knives and have experienced no milky cloudyness. I haven't had any of the problems described.
I apply between 30 to 40 coats and let fully dry for a few days. I start by wet sanding with 220 to get an even surface (you will have high spot areas) then switch to wet 320, 400, and finally 600. I inspect and if happy with the surface buff with white rouge. Turns out like glass and really makes the grains and colors pop.
The only thing that I would say is bad about the finish is it's not for wet work (gutting, etc.). The surface becomes to slippery to get a good grip.
However if it's for a presentation knife I can't think of any better way to get that glassy appearance IMO.
