I tend to use one main knife for extended periods of time(the most recent has been my EDC for over two years), but if I get another knife, it might see use for a while until I decide what knife will be in my pocket.

I rotate daily, sometimes even more than daily:eek:, just depends on what I feel like carrying.

I always carry a Vic Classic, though.

Similar. Sometimes I change out from daytime to evening. Whenever I get something new, however, I will carry it daily for as long as it takes to get familiar with it, a process that can last anywhere from days to months. My one true EDC, however, is a Micra that accompanies whatever else I might carry. Since 1997 it has got used almost every single day.

it really depends on the situation
i sometimes swap between native and some delicas, the military and endura, those beeing the knives i carry most
outside however, outdoors i mean, i take one of the fixed blades (F1, SRK carbon V,mini bushman and a GI tanto) and a folder, sometimes buck 110/112, + the vic soldier
when i want to go cheap, i take a douk douk or one opinel
for SD, i swap between a spot and a safe keeper 2
still have some others i didnt carry much and find them not very easy to EDC, but i like them all

I rotate daily the larger, single blade folders. I never rotate my SAK Spartan, it's always in my watch pocket.

I tend to carry a blade-tech Mouse-lite around the house. If I'm out and about it usually carry my MOD pointman.

I have to have a SAK or slipjoint, usually my Vic huntsman. I rotate for different things. Carry a nice knife for special occassions, have a choice of weekly carry outside of work, weekend carry running around, outdoors carry, home carry, hiking carry. Keeps me from just using two folders and getting rid of the rest. Which I have done several times, always getting the same ones back later on.

Then you get into the FB category.

I have a SAK that is pretty well always with me as well as an FRN Dragonfly. I accumulate....errrr collect...yeah that's it..., so I do rotate a fair amount (I tend to add a new one every few weeks, or as financing permits..:-). My "during the week day" carry tends to add in a D4 of some sort (this last couple of weeks, it's been the G-10/FFG/Delica 4) and a UKPK. I was kinda itchin' for the new G-10 Police last week, and couldn't find one locally, so I bought a Kershaw Leek/PE as a temporary fix:-) It's along the for the ride this last few days. I've always been intriqued by one but it's never been high on my list (not that lefty friendly....pretty impressive, actually) Also, a Skeletool CX on my belt.

If I'm doing renovation work, it can be anything from an Endura 3/CE to one my Byrds and/or whatever else I think I may need at the time depending on what I'm doing. Wave II is on my belt for most reno type things.

I'm in the rotate according to needs camp. With the exception of a Victorinox Farmer always being in my back right pocket next to my wallet, and a Classic on the keys, I'll usually have a Case in my right front pocket.
Some days I feel like a trapper, and around the house or when I need to be discrete it's the peanut, and if I think I might get some whittling in it's a stockman.
I have been known to change patterns midday on occasion. Those 3 are pretty much my "rotation" though.

I rotate my carry a lot. It just depends on how I feel. I usually have a slipjoint of some kind with me and another. I rotate through these the most.
Al Mar SERE 2000
Spyderco Manix
Mini Ritter m2
Spiderco Citadel
My slippie rotation:
Ken Erickson Small Swayback (I love that freakin knife)
Case Small Sodbuster
Queen Canoe
SAK
Always when in the woods:
Brian Goode Companion
I use a couple BRKT's when at camp.
It is a sickness.

For me it has a lot to do with what is the newest in the herd. Other than that it is a change out according to circumstances. I have what I call my box-o-knives which is a small cardboard box filled with folders that I like to play with and carry. Those are where I go to get something to take along on outings. I have knife rolls and cases that have folders that I seldom get around to playing with other than to take them out from time to time to walk down memory lane.

As with others, when I get a new knife I carry it a lot until either I get a newer one or until I decide one of my older ones works better for me.

I do change what I carry depending on what I am doing, but I don't have any fixed rotation plan.

Aside from whatever my EDC of the day is, I always carry a micra and a Vic classic.

Ooooh, yes, I have a special section of my bedside table drawer, with all my favorite EDCs all lined up and ready for duty.

CRK&T Marzitelli Prowler
Spyderco Captain
CRK&T Carson M21-04
Cold Steel Extra Large Voyager Clip-point serrated (for exploring, rural or urban)
CRK&T Ryan Model 7
Spyderco Delica (Original series in "G-2" Stainless) serrated

Notice a trend? Loved serrated blades. Not so much so anymore. My most recent is the Captain, which has taught me the wonders of new steels and G-10 handles.

I do, however, intend to expand a bit on this line in the very near future, up to and including:

Kershaw G-10 Offset
Spyderco Caly3 CF
Zero Tolerance (Kershaw) 0200
Kershaw Needs Work
Benchmade Dejavoo 740
Emerson Persian Tactical
Al Mar Payara
Spyderco Military in CPM-D2
Cold Steel Voyager Extra Large Tanto

Most days its a Lochsa with a custom sheath.

Lately I have been rotating two Strider SnG's; one with the Hard Chrome Blade and the new one a Double Gunner Grip Ranger Green with Digi camo blade. If I need to go smaller, I use my mnandi.

depending on where i'm going or what i'm doing throughout the day, i rotate thru my knives as much as 20 times daily. There is something VERY satisfying about being able to choose a different knife for a different task or destination.
