poll: favorite Spydie and why

The Tim Wegner JR is my favorite.
I like the liner lock over the lock back.
I like the blade grind, the belly and the satin finished ATS-34 of the blade
The hole in the blade is large enough to be functional, but not as large as most Spydercos.
Finally, you just have to feel one to understand how it fits the hand.

It's really tough picking just one so I won't even try. My favorites include, in no particular order: aluminum (uncoated) Police, stainless Native (with handle checkered by CheckerMarx), BF Native, G-10 Harpy, and Centofante. Just don't tell the rest of the guys they didn't make the short list.

My favs are still the Delica and the Endura, though my new plainedge Goddard Liteweight is awfully sweet (thanks, Savman!).

I like the zytel knives for their light weight, ease of carry, and price. As far as I am concerned, there is no better value in knifedom that the zytel spydies!

I do love my CF Cricket, too, though.

I'm with Bill on the Wegner Jr (C49)

It's my main carry along with a little BM 330 for some of the same reasons:

- plenty of blade for its size
- simple and solid construction

The C49 also has smooth operation and fits my hand just so!

Got to be the full sized Wegner. It just feels perfect in my hand and I have a lot of confidence in the lock up.The starmate comes in a close second. It actually rides in the pocket a little better because of it`s slimmer design. Same with the military.

Ok, to be fair, I will go with all of the ones I have owned or tried and say that the Military is by far my favorite.
I like the ergonomics of the blade, the blade steel, the ease of opening in either hand as well as quick draw. I also like the slim profile.
I must say that I have grown to like the Wegner as well, although it will never replace my Military.
Waiting to check out the Starmate someday....

Plain edged Military.

I like the full flat grind, the CPM 440-V, and the handle shape. I especially like the way the handle flairs out at the butt end. I also like the choil, the extra large thumb hole, the slim profile, and the way it all fits together. This knife inspires confidence.

My favorite big Spyderco is the Military. My favorite small one is the Jess Horn Lighweight.

Forced to pick one I would take the Military although I am waiting to get a closer look at a Starmate and all decisions are definitely not final.

OK, I know I've already posted, but I got my very first Military today (I've been putting it off forever due to all of the great collaborations that have been coming out) and I would like to say that my favorite of the large Spydies is now the Military. I love the ergonomics of the hande (almost like a Civilian handle) Don't get me wrong, the Starmate is still a great knife but I didn't realize what a quality folder the Military was. I guess I'll be buying a serrated one soon. I'm just sorry I didn't get one sooner.

Thanks for the knife Dirk....I like it....I like it alot.

Older Bob T C15 and C19

The smaller C19 for everyday carry, the larger C15 when camping, hiking etc or for any kind of emergency.

A great large/small combination of the ultimate utility folders (in my opinion, knives are tools, not weapons)

By the way, something very strange-if, say, I was limited by law to just ONE knife, do you know what I would pick for its go-everywhere, cut-everything capability??
a lightweight plain edge Cricket!!!!!!
