I always liked group theme names for different but similar versions of knives made. Like 3 sizes being called the "Croc", "Gator", and "Camen" or something like that. What are some other names of patterns made by him?

i like names that describe/define the usage of said knife. the first thing i thought of when i saw this was a little knife to use for harvesting mushrooms....the "Forager"?

i did a quick google search and spyderco has a forager model. and, Vic has a Harvester model.

still thinking....

the morel? the morsel?

looking at "foraging" synonyms too: "scavenger"? "ferret"?

just throwing stuff at a wall here....

Pooka, a benign but mischievous creature from Celtic mythology.

Years ago Gerber used all names from Mythology for their knives (Balmung, Snickersee, Siegfried, ect)
Worked pretty well for them

I like that idea, we could build a series theme from here?

Some interesting stuff available: Clurichaun, Far Darrig, Lleprechaun, Daoine Sìth, Aos Sí, Banchee..... and on and on. The Irish (and Scots)have a lot of superstition and mythology.

pooka muk...that's funny sounding. Like an ancient chant: pooka muka, pooka muka, pooka muka, pooka muka... scary.

Fang! That's what the shape looks like.

that's funny. that was the very first thing i thought of. before i started doing my "real thinking" above.

btw...i said it in another thread Peter/John. These really look great. the shape makes it look like a nice, nimble cutter.

When I first saw the knife the first thing that popped into my head was "Imp". But I think that name is being used already for a small, spear point knife but I can't remember what manufacturer.

How about Siren or Harpy? Mythological creatures that are beautiful and seemingly innocent but are in fact quite deadly.

Bark River

Dart's winning but I'm worried it makes it sound like a throwing knife, of which I know nothing

we could always go, harvey (i.e Pooka, i.e Iris is a name to) :p

i do like the idea of myth themes, iris was a great goddess after all
