In the last month or so I've decided to start carrying my first CGG, and I'm wondering how regular of a thing that is in the community. Certainly some people do carry theirs, and certainly some people keep their's pristine, but I'm curious as to what general proportion of one ownership style to the other.

I'll start! I've been carrying mine about once a week pretty reliably, sometimes twice.

Pictures are absolutely welcome! See, I'm even getting just a little bit of a wear spot on the thumbstud lol

Thanks for reading, and I appreciate your responses!
A UG or really nice special edition CGG with a stone like that I'd still be willing to carry but would probably restrict it to at-home and weekend carry since knives I take to work tend get used hard and rough like the rest of my tools. Though a simpler and potentially functional CGG like doppler or chainmail I would definitely be willing to "enjoy fully".

Thanks to another member on here (i'll let them tag themselves if they want),and someone i will forever be grateful to, I'm able to carry my grail every day! I contemplated for about 2 mins keeping it pristine BNIB, but then who would get to share in the excitement of seeing and handling it? My house and it's contents aren't a museum!!! I wanted this knife for sooooo long, and it brings me so much joy to show to someone who sees me use it, and they ask, "wow that's a pretty cool knife, what is it, can i see it?"

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the "Lunar Landing" as well. At first thought I was just going to store it away in the collection and occasional use but when I opened the box and saw it I couldn't stop looking at it. I decided it had to be in my pocket at all times. I think it will look even better after it starts getting that wear/use "patina" on it.

I've been looking into getting a nice CGG/UG Sebenza for EDC. I currently use my Large Damascus 31 for any task that needs a knife and it would be the same way if I get a CGG/UG. Wear adds character and makes the knife your own, unless you plan on selling it. I don't like to store knives, if I'm not using them, they get sold.
