Poll: Longer Bladed S.P.O.T.

me neither, although i have the budget AUS 6 version is still love the knife. But i would love it even greater if it blade was longer!! indeed it would be a vicious SD knife if u could combine it with the ronin blade or a mini civilian blade.

Longer blade (up to 3 inches)
Different blade styles (Dodo, Harpy, and Ronin styles on existing handle)
Removable Micarta scales (or option without...just get rid of the AUS6 version)

He seems genuinely interested, so please let him know what you think, whether you're a fan of the original or not. Thanks, everyone!

I really like the design of the SPOT. The knife is just about the perfect size for a neck knife, and one of the few that I would actually carry. The finger hole and grip design are fantastic. The only problem that I have with the SPOT is the blade shape. I am not a huge fan of the reverse-S shaped blade for any task. It seems like more of a utility design and not a SD knife. If the blade design is going to be changed, I suggest a slightly longer blade of the Harpy or Ronin style. If I had to choose, I say go with the Ronin style blade because it would allow for devistating cuts and not hinder it's stabbing performance.

Not sure a longer blade would help. However, a Ronin pattern blade or a leaf point like the Lil' Temperance would be much better than the reverse S. The reverse S was one of my biggest gripes about the SPOT, and why I didn't keep mine.

My biggest problem was the OAL--it simply didn't carry as well as my La Griffe.

I like normally curved blades. The mouse looks very nice, and maybe that would be a good blade shape for a spot, but I guess you would have to make some different protos to try out the best handle/blade ergonomics.
