No I had one and in the sheath on my hip it would poke my side or I would hit my hand on it. It was a very pointy.

No. I don't see how anyone with larger hands could like them on a smaller knife. They dig into the bottom edge of my hand.

Not usually. I don't mind them on TAC handles, but that's the main exception. Prolly because most of my TAC users are in leather or Spec-Ops sheaths that block the point from digging into my side, and the handle is long enough for my hands. They don't bother me on SFNO's/NMSFNO's/ASH-1's either, but those tips aren't quite as "tippy" as others. :)

They make a great bottle opener, almost like it was design intent?! So yeah, on some models, like my Hell Razor

On the smaller knives like the SOB I like it but it gets my hand a lot. As for a knife riding on my belt guess it depends on sheath. I like my sheaths to ride low, so the whole handle has leather or material behind it. They do make great glass breakers and openers for various things. Just my two cents worth :):)

I do not like them :)

When was the last time you needed to spike someone on the scull? Do you see this coming up a lot in your life. It looks cool on some knives and busse does it better than most but really whats the point:p besides looks.

Skull crushers are way over rated. How many times will you need to hammer something instead of crushing a skull? Then when you wear it on your side and bend that direction it stabs you in the side. The mojo would be more awesome without that big skull crusher, but alas it seems line a knife maker trend. Treeman has some great blades but it hate the sharp skull crusher that has litterally drawn blood when I went to grab it.

Really don't need them, and would prefer some sort of flat or rounded pommel for pounding. And that round pommel - properly applied - would dent a skull anyway...;-)

The only knife that comes to mind that I like the pointed pommel on is a Schrade
SCHF21 boot knife. It is a carbide tipped window breaker. And of course could have
other improvised uses. A window breaker could be useful in some cases.
But mostly, no, pointed pommels weaponize knives and make them harder
to carry comfortably.

I don't have a need for them. I think that they can look cool, I prefer a rounded end or flat end.

Personally I only like them on the Busse & Kin swords. Definitely not a fan on smaller or medium blades.

That is why I remove them :)

I love the old school skull crushers like on the Sharks and the new Mojo. Just narly looking and remind me of the old designs.

Blade length doesn't matter as long as the design itself is slick

I filed it down on my TP SOB because it kept digging into my hand. The one on the finger groove SOB is very comfy, it doesn't dig in at all. I like the ones on the tac handles like the NARK and the SJ Tac, or the ASH-1, or SFNO, NMSFNO, and Mojo. I also like them on big blades like the NMFSH, the Battle Mistress's, and the AK47.;)
