I'm with Jaxx on the TAC handle and It just looks right.
That being said, I always wore them in drop sheaths.
My Boss Jack and cabs I can wear however I want because there's no point.
My DSSF rides at a 45 degree in a Buy Brown sheath for ease of access. Having a Skull Crusher on a larger blade is less of an issue because you're not trying to conceal it.
My 2 cents.

I hate them. What if I wanted to get some syrup out if a maple? A knife with a flat pommel, a rock, a little tap tap, and there we go. I fact I hate any kind of slopes or strange angles back there. A general purpose knife shouldn't take away it's hammerability. And why do I need to crush a skull? I HAVE A KNIFE! Am I fighting animated skeletons?

Nothing's stopping you from tap tap tapping on the spiked pommel, either. Not like it needs to be razor sharp to do its job of concentrating the impact force in a small area, no?

I like them because they're useful for things like tempered glass and the occasional instance where you might want to use something more emphatic than a fist and less messy than the business end of the knife. Applying the butt-end of a Busse to a skull, though...it's not going to matter much if the butt is shaped like a NMSFNO or an AMS or a freaking ice pick, you're going to make an impression. Not carrying vertical at the waist may affect my evaluation of their utility:PITA ratio, though.

Have no need for pointy scull crushers. Usually carrying knives with Basic style handles, so thats not an issue.

Not for me. You can crush a skull with a nice round smooth pommel easily enough, if you were so inclined.

I like the pointy. Most tactical use it ever gets is crushing ice for my drink. For non pointy crushing, knuckleguard!

I wanted to crush a skull a few weeks ago with my TGLB & I couldn't do it.

The pommel just barely shattered an eye socket. Needless to say I was highly ticked off.

Seriously though...I think they have their place on any knife with its primary purpose being classed as a fighting knife.

I don't see the point of having points on the hilt. If it's to be a glass breaker, generally the point should be of some material harder than blade steel - carbide or tungsten perhaps. If it's to be a "skull crusher", a flat or curved section of the tang can extend beyond the hilt. That should be just as effective as a point without making a blade look too weaponized or potentially uncomfortable.
