Heck yeah! To most young men! The Indian peoples were way cool & open about love & sex etc... Wearing a Loin cloth sounds much more comfortable than a wool set of clothing!

Must of looked great to a Teen to 30 something instead of the Puritan type life!
 
Oh ya they had it going on. Many fascinating accounts remain of life for NA before the "collapse of civilization."

I read one French description of the Abnaki way of wooing a hot date. The guy would come to the girl's place with a lit torch, and ask if she wanted to hang out. If she did, he would go in and try to entice her with philosophical talk and humor, and if he's lucky she would blow out his torch and he could stay. But if he failed, she would tell him to get lost, and he would return to his circle buddies, roundly ridiculed for having "returned with a lit torch." LOL!

Down in Central America, a Spanish ship crashed in a remote area. Seven years later, a new expedition entered the area, and the Spaniards were amazed when one of the well-tanned natives spoke to them in Spanish. He was a survivor of the shipwreck. When the expedition offered to give him a lift back to home base, he laughed at them, saying that before he was just a ship laborer, and that now he was a man of importance, and had four strong children to raise.
 
That's right, there are some accounts of US officers wanting All "Renegades" as they called them, Fing Dead! When they raided an Injun camp! I think jealousy of the open range, several wives and a happy life style was a driver behind this!

No doubt man..Living your whole life being sheltered from the flesh, wearing wool and all of a sudden beautiful,scantily clad,openly friendly native women are everywhere to be had...More than enough to cause many a puritan to loose his religion.

Lose Religion? More like find a whole new one of freedom & happiness ;)
 
I'm going to close this thread now. It has run its race as a pole, and now drifted way off the track.
