so i used it for a handle and found that it works really well, its looks kinda crude, but its hard and tough, i used this knife earlier to chop some wood and the handle didnt budge at all, but im still gonna put some epoxy in there just to secure it even more, im just hoping i can make the handle look a little nicer, just wanna know what you guys think, and yes i know i need to work on the blade a little more. https://tek26007.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/1213141630.jpg

PE is tough and chemical resistant, but it is soft (easily scratched with just a fingernail) and epoxy and other adhesives won't properly adhere to it. It could be used as an over molded material on mass produced cutlery because it is dishwasher safe, but I wouldn't want to use it on a knife.

Like Nathan said, almost nothing glue-like will stick to polyethylene. Epoxy could fill the void between the pipe and the tang and make the handle feel more solid but using mechanical fasteners like rivets to help hold the "handle" on would be a good idea. PE is also pretty slippery, not a property I care much for in my knife handles, but YMMV
