I decided to remove the clip on my wog today becouse i think this knife works much better without one.

But why did spyderco have about 0 mm between the screwhead and recessed bit in the handle. As you see on the right side that is how deep the screw can go but when i tried to screw in the left one after removing the clip i only got this far. Then the bit in my screwdriver broke becouse there was so much friction between screwhead and the recessed hole.

Think iam going to buy some other screws with smaller screwheads and then the back of the handle will be completly flat. But first i have to get the screws out. The one on the left will be easy but then one on the right will couse some problem.

SWAG would be that the length of the screw is perfect when the clip is used, so it's too long when the clip is removed. You've bottomed it out within the hollow bolt.

Looked at it some moore and you are right. Dont know why i didnt think about that from the begging but you are always learning so.

The screw on the right is hard to get out but maybee some heat will help if there is loctite on that little bugger. But first i have to buy some new bits or a screwdriver of better quality and some shorter screws.
