Recommendation? Pondering something ridiculous big CS in 3V !

So glad for your purchase :D

I'm sure you'll like it!
Test it out and let us know :D

I was personally impressed by 3V, but get some diamonds if you don't have already ;)

I was looking at a master tanto or tai pan in 3v as i have never had anything in this steel. i didn't think it was supposed to be that difficult to sharpen? thats just going off what i have read? Smilling, did you find it much harder than say XHP?

I own nothing in XHP so I can't say about it.

But I found it similar to D2.

EatingSarma used his Warcraft way more than I use mine (I only tested it out basically). According to him it's bit easier to sharpen than D2.

:) I just now grabbed a deal on a Warcraft Tanto 13TL , 7.5" blade in 3V for a good discount due to damaged box . ~$133 plus tax , delivered .

I wanted a longer blade , but at least this is 3V and I've never owned any of the Warcraft series or any 3V blade .:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Probably more practical to carry than a longer blade , so I might get more actual use from it .

I'm a slightly stoked up to try it out ! :p
That's an excellent deal. Most people toss the box anyhow. What happened to the San Mai Tanto XII you were considering?

:) Welp , I'm VERY happily married for almost 44 yrs and fully intend to stay that way .

I have an "entertainment budget " . :(

So , I can't simply buy everything for fun my little heart might desire, at one time .

This 3V Warcraft 7.5 " deal came up , so I jumped on it . :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

That pretty well blows the budget for now . o_O

Doesn't mean I'm not still interested . :p But gotta wait awhile . ;)

I do already have a much shorter San Mai Master Tanto from way back .

My 3V Master Hunter was maybe slightly harder than my XHP CS folders to sharpen, but not by much and I’ve sharpened both just fine without diamond stones.

Ceramic or Silicon? I might try to use ceramic side of my Fallkniven DC4 to sharpen next time.

:) The 7.5" Warcraft and the Recon Tanto are natural to compare , IMO .

Mine were acquired nearly 40 yrs apart .

The two are distinct model with fundamental differences , but the POU, American Tanto blades , and size is quite similar .

DocJD, that's a sweet looking blade. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to hearing how it performs.

I've got the Nightfall Magnum Tanto II in 3V, and have a Master Tanto in 3V on the way. I haven't had the Magnum long enough to try it out, but it sure is a sharp, and sharp looking, knife!!
