WE HAVE A WINNER ! The lucky number drawn is #25!

Well folks, after hanging out here in the traditional forum for a while, I’ve come to appreciate all of you for your candid opinions and some really great knife photos! I feel like I’ve found my place here with all of you, and so have decided to go ahead and support this great forum with a dealer membership. And, since my birthday is in August, I’m going to further celebrate this occasion by offering a free knife; not just any old knife, but a brand new GEC Pony Jack!



I worked as a finish carpenter for many years and so have more than a passing relationship with sharp edged hand tools, as I used them along with a pocket knife daily for many years. Unfortunately, I had to have four separate surgeries for job related injuries which left me unable to do that type of work any longer. I learned some computer skills during convalescing and discovered Great Eastern Cutlery and BladeForums, and eventually started my own internet knife dealership featuring GEC knives and have been slowly building inventory for a couple years now.

But I digress…. Any BF member who buys a knife from my site during the month of August will be eligible to win the Pony Jack through a random drawing at the end of August. For every knife purchase you will be entered in the drawing, so with two knife purchases will get you two chances to win, and so on. The winner will be picked at random from the entries. Be sure to include your BF handle when you order so I know who to congratulate! Good luck to you all! :)

I am amending the GAW to the following: the contest is open to everyone, no purchase necessary. You’ll be assigned a number if you buy a knife or simply contact me through my website. A number will be drawn at random at the end of the month. The prize will be store credit equal to your purchase at either of my stores, so if you buy nothing, you may win but the prize will be zero store credit. Thanks everyone for understanding.



OK, I'm receiving way too much flak on this GAW as apparently I may have unintentionally broke some forum rules. In light of this new information, I am going to end the GAW at Midnight, Sunday August 4, 2013. I will draw a random number and post a winner on Monday 8/5/13. I am truly sorry if anyone is upset. At this moment, there are 15 entries and one of them is going to win the Pony Jack, but I will leave the 'contest' open until midnight Sunday for any that wish to enter.

I wish everyone luck who is entered into this drawing. That is a beautiful knife, and epitomizes a perfect knife. Only my opinion, of course, but with a knife like that a man may not need another.

Sorry guys, I was up early when I wrote this and I hadn't had my coffee! :grumpy: The site is Gunstock Jack's Knives, of course, and here's a link. :) And say, since I neglected to post a link, we'll go ahead and start the party today!!! All knife purchases from now until the end of August at midnight will be eligible. Thanks Bob! I just wanted to make a few friends first! By the way, what did you say to 'P' at the GEC Rendezvous? Her expression is priceless! lol Sure wish I could've been there. :cool:
 
I really don't remember exactly what I said at that moment. I just thought that would be a good caption for that picture when I saw her expression. We all had a GREAT time at the Rendezvous. That particular picture was taken by Jan Carter early on Friday.
 
Thats a very nice website Barry. Very easy to navigate one the iPhone. The customized knives look really great. Congrats on going green.

I should remind everyone that I'll be getting some of the new sheepfoot Boy's Knives very soon. Also, there are runs of 72's and 73's on the horizon. Seems as if there's another very important knife soon to be available as well....:eek: Starts with a TC, if memory serves.:D

I don't stock every model, but I try to stock as many as I can.:):):)

Thanks for the GAW, Barry. I've been eyeing a few knives on your site for a while....guess this is gonna "convince" me to once again spend money I don't have on things I don't need. :rolleyes: Is it payday yet? :D
Anyhow, glad you've a found a "home" here. I've really been enjoying your picture posts...especially that ruby red #79 GEC with the steely blades...nice!
