Thoughts on the quality of original Poole vs Wilkinson bayonets?
Any historical links to the production of either?

Specifically looking for information on the No.5 Jungle Carbine Bayonet AND the 1903 Bayonet for the SMLE no.1
Any general information on these types of bayonets appreciated.

""Tom and Jerry" was a commonplace phrase for youngsters indulging in riotous behaviour in 19th-century London. The term comes from Life in London, or Days and Nights of Jerry Hawthorne and his elegant friend Corinthian Tom (1823) by Pierce Egan."

It is also a delicious beverage.

"Tommy" comes from "Tommy Atkins", a general term for an enlisted soldier dating back to 1743. "Jerry" is just a diminutive of "German".

-Wikipedia

"Tom and Jerry" predates the use of "Jerry" for Germans. So I doubt it.
