Today I was cleaning up the Christmas candy (AKA shoving it all in my mouth) and saw one of those big tins that popcorn comes in around the holidays. They're a little smaller than a 10 gallon bucket. Then I realized how many uses these could have a knife maker. I don't think they're "water proof" but you could seal the inside edges with silicone and use it as a quench tank or dip bucket. It also has a metal lid incase of a flare up or fire. Then I noticed you could probably use it as a shell for a forge. Anyone else ever use these for anything? I just thought this may keep people from quenching into plastic buckets....
