Pop's Knife Supply Update

Everything is great with the new owners except one thing that is a constant problem for a legit business, but a constant solution for a hobbyist.

I need a receipt that shows the grand total, and I need the purchase to be one transaction for sake of bookkeeping simplicity. They are unable/unwilling to do so, and if I ask for a correct receipt, it is often technically wrong (showing a line item as a "balance due" rather than a credit).

This is because they overcharge for shipping, then refund the difference between the charged rate and the actual rate. The $4 savings is not worth the complexity of the bookkeeping. There is no way to request that they keep the $4, or give it to me as store credit, etc.

maybe you could get your own ups or fed ex account and have all your vendors ship collect to you with your account number.

For me that's not an issue... It may add up to $15-20 over the whole year and really doesn't matter. Trugrit does the same thing. If it's that big of a deal just overestimate your tax income for the year by $100 and you will be good.
