Portland, OR & Seattle/Tacoma/Keyport, WA

I just had the honor of meeting with Rockspyder for over a couple hours this afternoon. He had a tight schedule between “here-and-there,” but was able to make it by SOG to play with some knives for a bit. :) We sat in SOG’s conference room with cans of pop, I brought in my personal sample case of knives from my office, and we flicked ‘em open and closed for awhile. I even took the opportunity to bleed pretty well (oops...I don’t do that often!). But I had colorful Band-Aids on hand!

There’s never enough time to talk knives or to talk “life,” but it’s always great to make new friends! :) He's more than welcome to come back for a visit anytime!

SOG’s door is always open for SOG fans anywhere! At least during business hours.

Well, I have a Friday afternoon class this quarter so I might be a little late ;)

I hope we can all meet up at SOG one day. Ron, maybe if you can make it to the NWKC Show on Oct. 5/6 we could plan something out. I'll be walking around or behind the Bybee's table. :)

Mitch,

I've tried to talk Ron into going to this up-coming knife-show in Puyallup, but it looks like no-luck so far...:(.

I'd love to, guys. Really. I'll just have to see.

I'm currently working 70 hour weeks. "One more thing..." You know what I mean? :)

Yah, but there IS 168 hours in a week!, so with your 70, that STILL leaves you with 98 hours...:D.:D.

No rest for the weary, eh Ron? :) Made it down here to Portland. Replied to your email, also, but I'm not back to homebase, yet.

Thank you for taking so much time out of your day to show me all the knives. SOG has impressive stuff. And one thing that impressed me the most (other than the beauty and quality of the knives) was the variety of the knives. I don't think you guys leave a single niche unpopulated; I don't think you see that in the other big knife companies. Or maybe I just haven't been invited to their headquarters to sit down and look at and fondle the blades. A most impressive assortment. And thank you so much for the material. I'm definitely going to be adding a few SOG's to my collection. And especially the Vision and Flash. I think the Flash is gonna sell like gangbusters!

You guys that live anywhere near SOG really need to accept Ron's invitation and get up there. A most enjoyable 2+ hours to spend. And believe me, you need to plan to take some time, to get the full show. It was easily worth the 2-ish hour drive it took me to get there from where my meeting was.
