I' m sure we all get enough negative or even insulting comments about our knives from 'Sheeple', but sometimes people do say nice things about them, so let' s hear them!

Other than the usual ''Wow, that looks sharp'', that I get when cutting anything, my mother recently told me how pretty she thought my BM940(green scales, purple titanium spacer) looked:cool:

So what was the last positive comment you got about your blades?

Love my Rat3. Stays sharp as a razor and tuff as a bull in heat. Its with me everyday and has become a best friend. (That sounded weird, Huh?)

I got a nice comment on my 610 Rukus yesterday while my wife was listening  He said that knife looks like it'll last a lifetime, one you can pass down to your son and his son and so on:thumbup: I gave her a smirk and said yea.it was well worth the bucks.....

One of my co-workers recently asked to see my GEC 2 blade Scout after I had used it to open a box. "Dang" he said "that's a pretty well-made knife!"

He was right, of course.

One time I was at the tire shop and two of the guys working there found my Ka-Bar Kukri in my trunk and were waving around, grinning. I think they liked it!

I tend to make negative comments about knives out of laziness. In other words, I have a LOT more positives, too many to list.

when we were cleaning weapons about a month ago, my CO asked if anyone had a knife he could borrow. He was standing next to me and so i handed him my Benchmade nitrous 906SBKD2 first production (207/1000). he used and and handed it back and gave me a genuine compliment regarding not only how nice the knife worked, but in my taste also. I noticed the POS gerber clipped to his pocket and just smiled to myself.

"Wow, that's sharp!"

Also had a friend really enjoy handling my BG42 Military. It is a nice knife...

Had another friend fall in love with my Stretch 2 that I traded off. I'm sure he would of taken it off me if his money situation was better at the time.

Had to open some packages with a new Emerson Mini CQC-7, after using the Wave function, slicing the outer covering, then closing the liner lock and folding with my hand before putting back in my pocket, It was commented that I look pretty handy with a blade.

Even though it was the knife's functions that gave me that appearance :D

The guys at work were pretty impressed with my custom Buck 110 when I showed it to them. A friend of mine, who is an engineer, was impressed with the design and operation of my Sebenza. My wife thought my Rainbow Chive was "very pretty".

Opened a pallet of stuff for a kid at a local grocery store with my large Case bonestag CV Stockman, kid says, "Hey! Cool pocket knife!" I got to tell him about it, I think I converted him. He may have joined the forum here by now.

thx - cpr

i really love my 1660cktst kershaw leek in sandvik 13C26 stainless its edge has stayed true for months with NO sharpening and the serrations cut brilliantly through anything i put them up against, and the lock up is perfection with 0 BladePlay in any direction

this is my favorite purchase to date

the other day i was helping at my temple to build our sukkah (its part if a jewish holiday its basically a large wooden tent) and there were some palm fronds that were lashed together with some pretty sturdy heavy duty zip-ties and one of the contractors was having some trouble with cutting them so i stepped in sliced and diced the ties and then cut the two or three inch thick palm branches down to size with unparalleled ease.

cheers

the colonel

Just showed my co-worker a new fixed blade rough rider ($7!!! shavin' sharp) she said "thats cute" (she says that about all my knives...)

My brother used my Leatherman Blast yesterday to take a battery our of his truck and said hey thats pretty handy to have, i need one of them.

Very cool people, I think it' s great that people sometimes DO recognize a tool when it' s being used as one.

All the folks I work with are knife knuts (guns too), so they can appreciate a good blade when they see one. My Busses were the first they had actually seen and touched though. They were quite complimentary. Although I already new how awesome they were, it was still nice to hear it from someone else.

the Leeks is usually as far you need to go to get all the great comments. fast, sharp, sleek, pointy, and some are pretty.

Most of my friends are not in to knives and most of them carry the cheapest thing they can find. Needless to say, they always want to borrow mine. Most of them wouldn't know a Busse from a Frost.

I rehandled a Buck tiny trapper with Rhodonite recon stone. It has a pink color with black vein.My wife had to have it and has gotten many positive comments on it since.I always carry a "pocket jewelry" knife along with a tough workhorse.Oh,and a small SAK of course.S'wat pockets are for right?
