I'm betting the thorns are acacia and can be used for skewering something or sewing something else....

This is a wee pouch project I have just finished.It's used as sporran if you wearing your kilt,it also doubles as a possible pouch when you are in the bush.As you can see I used a Turk's head knot as a button.

The pouch open with a few bits of my bushcraft kit.

Ooh, looks awful similar to my Opinel and Royal Selangor hipflask.

Sorry guys,time to bore you with more photos.Those agave needles I found when out foraging they may become part of a fishing spear I am working on.

I sometimes have to use child labour in the workshop.
