Congrats Protourist ... it's unfortunate that your prize will not be one of Rick's amazing knives but I'm sure whatever you finally receive will be ...um, er ... totally awesome. Rick is a highly skilled craftsman and his leatherwork is known to be a thing of beauty as well ... in some circles :eek::D

Rick makes so many things that I have admired for a while now. This is just so exciting to me.

Okay..... It shipped today. Though it may spoil the surprise for Protourist, I've taken a couple pics of his gift...


It's one of the first firepouches I made. I carried it for a year or so. The kit contents are all new including the tin. There are 4 lengths of wrapped jute, char, a flint, a hand forged striker, several pieces of waxed jute candle thingies and a small tin for making char.

There is enough room in the pouch for a couple small items. (maybe a ferro rod or some extra jute)
